On 2 February, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis met with the new Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Lithuania Lim Hoon-Min. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Lithuania and the Republic of Korea, prospects for their further development and cooperation in international organizations.

On 19 January, Belize’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Immigration held a solemn ceremony during which Belize received a contribution from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania to the Hurricane Lisa Relief Fund. The fund was established to help the people of Belize recover from the natural disaster - Hurricane Lisa.
On 18 January, the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the United Kingdom (UK), Eitvydas Bajarūnas, was received by the Speaker of the House of Commons of the UK Parliament, Sir Lindsay Hoyle.
During the official visit to the Republic of Korea on 13 January, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis met with South Kore’s Foreign Minister Park Jin. At the meeting, Landsbergis said that the liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage vessel Independence was a symbol of the countries’ unity and independence that had kick-started the rapid growth in cooperation between the two countries in the fields of economy, energy and smart technologies. On Friday, the South Korean Foreign Minister also informed about issued export permits for poultry meat from Lithuania.
During his official visit to the Republic of Korea on 12 January, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis said that in the light of changing geopolitical reality, not only political partnership was important, but also a practical element — new markets, investment, and economic cooperation with reliable partners.
On 10 January, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lithuania Ramūnas Davidonis presented credentials to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, on behalf of the King of Bahrain, His Majesty Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The Ceremony was held at the Al Sakhir Palace.
On 11 January, during an official visit to the Republic of Korea, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis met with Dr Cheollae Roh at Samsung Display and other company representatives. Landsbergis invited them to come to Lithuania and to get acquainted with local laser companies and their products in more detail, as well as with possible valuable offers for cooperation.
On 11-13 January, Lithuania's Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabrielius Landsbergis will pay a working visit to the Republic of Korea. Landsbergis will meet with Foreign Minister Park Jin, the Minister for Trade Dukgeun Ahn, the Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee Chair at the National Assembly of South Korea Kim Tae-ho, and representatives of South Korean think tanks. Landsbergis will also hold meetings with CEOs of Samsung Display, SK Group, and nSage.
Today, on 21 December, a mural depicting Ales Bialiatski on Vilnius Simonas Daukantas Progymnasium's wall was opened in front of the Embassy of Belarus. The mural is dedicated to Belarus's Nobel Peace Prize laureate Ales Bialiatski and other political prisoners held by the Lukashenka regime.
On 21 December, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis received the Ambassador of Japan to Lithuania Tetsu Ozaki and handed a letter to the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Yoshimasa Hayashi. The letter welcomes the longstanding friendship between Lithuania and Japan and the breakthrough in bilateral relations. Lithuania and Japan celebrated a centenary of their diplomatic ties this year and announced a strategic partnership.
On 20 December, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis met with the Secretary of State for Trade at the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism Xiana Margarida Méndez Bértolo, and discussed possibilities for economic cooperation.
Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabrielius Landsbergis met with Spain’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares Bueno, and the President of the Congress of Deputies Meritxell Batet Lamaña.
On 18-20 December, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis will visit Madrid, the Kingdom of Spain. Landsbergis will meet with Spain’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares Bueno, the President of the Congress of Deputies Meritxell Batet Lamaña, and members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Congress of Deputies. It is the first bilateral visit of Landsbergis to Spain.
